Terms of Service

Effective August 21, 2026

1. What Trevio Is

Trevio is a marketplace connecting clients with independent artisans and skilled professionals across Nigeria. Trevio is not the employer of any artisan — each artisan operates as an independent contractor engaged directly by the client for a given job.

2. The Escrow Engine

When a client funds a job, payment is held in escrow rather than paid directly to the artisan. Funds are released to the artisan only once the client confirms the work is complete, or once an admin resolves a dispute in the artisan's favor. This protects both sides: clients don't pay for undone work, and artisans have confirmed funds already committed before they start.

3. Artisan Verification

Artisans must complete identity verification (KYC), including NIN and BVN matching, before they can accept jobs or withdraw earnings. Submitting false verification information will result in account suspension and forfeiture of any funds tied to fraudulent activity.

4. Commission & Fees

Trevio takes a flat 20% commission from the artisan's payout on each completed job, shown transparently before the client funds anything. Clients pay no additional platform fee on top of the agreed job price.

5. Dispute Resolution

If a client and artisan disagree about whether a job was completed satisfactorily, either party may open a dispute. Trevio's admin team may review chat logs, attachments, and transaction history to make a binding decision on the escrow release. Admin decisions on disputed escrow funds are final.

6. Account Suspension

Trevio may suspend or terminate an account for fraudulent verification, abusive behavior, attempts to circumvent escrow (e.g. soliciting off-platform payment to avoid commission), or other violations of these terms.

7. Changes to These Terms

Trevio may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of Trevio after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
